Okay I`m fessin` up. Firstly I`ve been reading the List Messages just
about every day, I`ve just been secretly plotting against YOU ALLLLL
HAH HAH HAH HAH---just kidding. Secondly, I wrote game engine called
Rally World which maybe the racing game you`re talking about.
If so the details of this engine are a little different to Lotus
Esprit. I`m using polygons and bitmaps to create the 3d effect. I
think Lotus Esprit uses clever line scrolling, which I have a basic idea
of how its done but I think you`d have to do some clever programming to
simulate this. You could use the Turbo R Bar command I guess. Actually
the Bar command would work well to create voxel landscapes.
Anyway, I`m going to use the Rally World engine to do a Car Wars game
for about June 98. Any suggestions (except where to go, flames etc.)
